We are conducting experimental research on novel applications of imagery to treat mental health conditions.

MindSky is currently conducting a research study on Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). The goal is to test whether mental imagery designed to treat specific symptoms is an effective tool for GAD,  compared to self-directed coping strategies or other relaxation techniques such as mindfulness. Through mental imagery exercises, patients can experience safety, face their fears, rescript experiences and relax.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is a global mental health problem requiring treatment innovation. From all treatments available, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is one of the leading methods with sustainable results. Unfortunately, it is not widely accessible. Thus, this research is exploring the potential effectiveness of mental imagery as a promising tool of psychological intervention, particularly for anxiety disorders. The objective is to empirically prove that mental imagery is an effective technique for the treatment and healing of anxiety. The overall expectation is that anxiety levels will be lower and that the patients will become more skilled at self-regulating.
